Preparation of studies

In most cases it is essential to verify the development project with various studies depending on the nature of the grant scheme in question. For urban renewal, it is necessary to have integrated urban rehabilitation plans and action plans, while for other municipal investments a detailed feasibility study and a cost-benefit analysis (CBA) will need to be prepared. Our consultants are skilled and experienced in the making of these documents primarily in the field of urban rehabilitation, tourism development, upgrading drinking water facilities, waste water treatment and municipal water regulation investments.

The feasibility study including the cost-benefit analysis will need to include the following chapters:

  • project description
  • needs analysis
  • analysis of different development versions
  • detailed project budget
  • financing plan
  • revenue plan and cost breakdown for the operation phase
  • suggestions for the technical, financial and institutional management of the project
  • calculation and analysis of financial indices
  • sensitivity analysis, threshold calculation, scenario analysis and risk analysis
  • assessment of economic costs and benefits

Recently most of our consultants attended a five-day training course at the Budapest Corvinus University encompassing the theory and practical application of cost-benefit analysis guidelines and methodologies related to the preparation of EU-funded projects.

On request, we also take care for the preparation of other necessary documents (e.g. business plan, needs analysis, marketing plan, training plan, impact assessment etc.) to be attached to the project application.

Preparing grant applications

After preparing the studies verifying the project, our experts work out all the details of project implementation, they fill in the grant application form and compile the entire project documentation package. This process includes the following tasks:

  • filling in the application form
  • finalization and compilation of the required documents and annexes
  • formal assessment and professional quality control of the documentation
  • detecting and correcting incidental deficiencies
  • continuous contact with the relevant public authorities

The above-mentioned tasks are carried out according to a strict schedule in order to make sure that the project will be submitted before the deadline.

May the grant documentation be prepared by the client himself, our colleagues are ready to make the formal assessment and professional quality control of the compiled documentation.
